DRIVERS

The original Robinson Racing Driver, brought up on a diet of formula 1 decided to turn his hand to car racing, not at an ideal age either as I have proved! Dad started his career in motorsport at a John Palmer motorsport day which included Caterham driving. Dad enjoyed this so much he had to get one of his own. The hunt began and as you can see by looking at the website, it ended with the purchase of a Westfield. In the mean time he had raced at Oulton Park in a National B Escort XR3i Challenge race. Having met a few of the local Westfield race drivers local to us it was decided to try our hand. By reading the 'The Car' page you follow a VERY brief history of this. After a couple of years of membership Dad had gained mainy friends within the WSCC-Westfield Sports Car Club, and wanted to get more involved. He got on well with the Commitee members, and is today the PR Secretary of the national club. A decent driver and today is a regular top 3 competitor in the Westfield Sports Car Club run Speed Series (the most succesful club championship in the country).

Son and Heir to the Robinson Racing Team is Me, Jamie Robinson. I am the one responsible for this website-which was created this year 2002 as part of a school A'level I.C.T project. At 18 years old I am the youngest driver in the Speed Series, and I am looking forward many more years in the sport. Embarking on an Automotive Materials Engineering Degree in October at Loughborough University I am hoping to maybe turn this hobby in to a potential career. I have competed in several Competitive sprints and have been known to even beat Dad. On occasions I have won trophies and at last years Speed Series Awards Dinner I was awarded the O.F.F Award, which means 'One For The Future.' Because of my obvious school and potentially universiry commitments I am not a regular competitor, but its nice to keep Dad on his toes. Oh...and finally the nickname-I.S.M, well what can I say, it was concieved by the lads at Cat Motorsport and stands for International Stud Muffin.

The championship sticker, latest one I could find unfortunatley;
